Gold prices on Wednesday fell by Rs 297 to Rs 47,019 per 10 grams in the national capital’s bullion market in line with a weak trend in precious metals in global markets. HDFC Securities gave this information.

- Gold closed at Rs 47,019 per 10 grams after a heavy fall in the Delhi bullion market. Earlier, in the last trading session, gold had closed at Rs 47,316 per 10 grams.
- Silver also closed down by Rs 556 at Rs 59,569 per kg. It had closed at Rs 60,125 per kg in the last trading session.
- In the international market, gold fell to USD 1,769 an ounce, while silver remained almost unchanged at USD 21.92 an ounce.
- HDFC Securities Senior Analyst (Commodities) Tapan Patel said, “Spot gold prices declined marginally to $1,769 an ounce on COMEX (New York-based Commodity Exchange) on Wednesday, leading to a fall in gold prices here too. ”
Gold became cheaper by Rs 8,000 from the record price
A record fall was seen in the price of gold in the bullion market on Wednesday. In August last year, the price of gold had reached its all-time high rate in the bullion market.
In August, 2020, the price of gold had reached Rs 55,400 per ten grams. If we compare the current price of gold with its all-time high rate, then gold has become cheaper by Rs 8000 per ten grams.
