Gold prices rose in global markets on the back of a weak US dollar. Spot gold rose 0.2 per cent to USD 1,826.75 an ounce in the global market. Among other precious metals, silver rose 0.4 per cent to $24.76 an ounce, while platinum rose to $1,020.26.
