In the month of July, the Central Government had announced an 11 percent increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) of its employees and pensioners. After this, now the DA or DR of the employees has increased to 28 percent. On the lines of the Center, many states have also given good news to their employees.
Which states gave good news: The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has increased the dearness allowance of its government employees. After this decision, now the employees are expected to get the allowance at an increased rate of 28 percent. Apart from Uttar Pradesh, the allowances of state employees have also increased in Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Rajasthan and Haryana. At the same time, the Bihar government is also going to announce it soon. It is believed that before August 15, the employees of the state will get the allowance.
Barring Karnataka, all other states have increased dearness allowance by 11 per cent. The allowance for the employees of Karnataka has been revised from 11.25 per cent to 21.5 per cent.
Let us tell you that due to Corona last year, the Central Government had stopped additional three installments of employees from January 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021. By adding to this withheld installments, the government announced to give 28 percent allowance from July 1. Now central employees are getting allowance at the rate of 28 per cent instead of 17. This has also increased the HRA, PF and gratuity of the employees.
