Fulfilling his promise, CM Ashok Gehlot has approved the Rajasthan Part Time Contractual Hiring Rules-2023 after the announcement made in the budget. Under this, now retirement benefits will also be given to part time working employees.
In fact, a meeting of the state cabinet was held at the Chief Minister’s residence on Tuesday under the chairmanship of CM Ashok Gehlot. In this, important decisions like approval of Rajasthan Part Time Contractual Hiring Rules-2023, establishment of Gem Bourse in Jaipur and allotment of land to various institutions have been taken. Along with this, a big decision has also been taken to name the Animal Welfare Board as Amrita Devi State Animal Welfare Board. The gift to the employees is being considered a big master stroke in the election year.
Now part time workers will get benefits up to Rs 3 lakh
The cabinet has approved the draft of Rajasthan Part Time Contractual Hiring Rules-2023. In this, part time workers will get a financial assistance package of Rs 2 to 3 lakhs at the end of their service. These benefits will be given to the part time personnel working in the departments on termination of service, death and retirement. With the formation of these rules, there will be transparency in the recruitment of part time workers and they will also get financial support. It is noteworthy that in the budget of the year 2023-24, the Chief Minister had announced the Rajasthan Part Time Contractual Hiring Rules-2023 for the purpose of providing financial assistance on retirement to honorarium workers working part time like Anganwadi workers, helpers, cooks, farrash etc.

It is worth mentioning that only last week, the Ashok Gehlot government had approved the preparation of Rajasthan Part Time Contractual Hiring Rules-2023 to give benefits to part time employees including Anganwadi workers, helpers and cooks. After this, the department prepared a proposal and placed it in the cabinet meeting held on Tuesday, August 29, which has been approved. In the budget year 2023-24, honorarium workers working on part-time basis such as Anganwadi workers, assistants, Cook, Farrash etc. had announced to make Rajasthan Part Time Contractual Hiring Rules-2023 from the point of view of economic cooperation, with this the CM has fulfilled his promise before the Rajasthan assembly elections.
Benefits can be given in this way
Retirement benefits will be given to part-time workers coming under the rules in the event of termination of service, death or retirement after completing the prescribed service period. 2 lakh on completion of 10 years of service, Rs 2.50 lakh on completion of 15 years, Rs 2.75 lakh on completion of 20 years and Rs 3 lakh on completion of 25 years. Personnel On retirement (irrespective of the period), a benefit of Rs 3 lakh can be given.
