About one lakh people of Meerut’s Cantt area can get up to five percent exemption in house and water tax. After about six years, after starting the Cantonment Portal, the Meerut Cantt Board has issued a proposal for a relaxation of up to five percent.
Till now there was a system of exemption of up to two percent in house tax. There was no exemption in water tax. Now on the orders of the Central Government, Cantt Board CEO Navendranath has issued a notice of five percent relaxation. Suggestions have been sought from the public on this. The only condition is that the people of the area will have to pay the bill through the cantonment portal.
This is the system
