Patna. There is good news for the people of Bihar. Now the people of the state will not have to make rounds of the police station to get the character certificate. Now people will be able to apply for the character certificate sitting at home and they will get its digital copy sitting at home.
On Tuesday, the Modernization Wing of Bihar Police Headquarters gave this information. The Home Department was working on this arrangement for the last two and a half months, which was successful. From November 1, the system of making character certificates available online will be implemented in the whole of Bihar. IG and DIG level officers will be able to monitor the online system of making character certificate.
If an application is rejected in the Service Plus portal, then its information will go to the IG and DIG of the concerned area. Service Plus portal has been created with the help of NIC i.e. National Informatics Center to generate online character certificate. The character certificate will be available online in 14 days under the authority of Bihar Public Service after the applicant fills the form available online here.
Recently, a review meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Secretary of the Home Department. In this review meeting, NIC had assured that now the portal has been completely repaired.
