13 thousand employees have already become regular
The approval from the cabinet paved the way for regularization of services of 14,417 employees. The spokesperson said that the services of 13,000 other employees have already been regularised.
According to the spokesperson, appointments to ‘Group C’ and ‘Group D’ posts were earlier made on contract or temporary basis to meet the imminent requirements and exigencies of the service.
‘Unfair to relieve employees at this stage’
The spokesperson said that some of these employees have now spent 10 years or more in the service of the state government and have given their time to the state. It would be unfair to relieve him at this stage.

The spokesman said that being a welfare state and to protect the interest of these contractual or temporary employees, the state has formulated the present policy to ensure that such employees do not face uncertainty and they are given security of tenure. can be provided.

The budget session of Punjab Vidhan Sabha will start from March 3 and it will be presented on March 10.
