Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said that in the last 6-7 years, the Delhi government has changed the condition of the shelter homes in the city.




Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will now provide nutritious food to the people living in the shelter house of Delhi. On Sunday, while launching the nutrition scheme, Chief Minister Kejriwal said that about 6,000 people living in 209 shelter houses in Delhi will now be given nutritious food for two times every day. The Delhi Government has started Shelter Home Feeding Scheme in collaboration with Akshaya Patra Foundation.

As a first phase, nutritious lunch and dinner will be provided to people in shelter houses run by the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board.

The number in the shelter house increases in winter

According to the Delhi government, the number of people living in shelter houses doubles in winter. The government said that apart from these people, 3,000 laborers at the project sites of the Delhi government will also get the benefit of this initiative.

After the launch of this scheme, Kejriwal said that the poorest of the poor live in shelter houses run by the government. He said that these people are compelled to sleep on the roads and footpaths and come to shelter houses in search of escape from the harsh weather and a place to sleep. Kejriwal said that these people are not vote bank of any political party as most of them do not even have voter ID card. That is why whichever party comes to power does not care about the condition of all these people.




Delhi government changed the condition of the shelter house

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said that in the last 6-7 years, the Delhi government has changed the condition of the shelter homes in the city. Earlier the situation was so disastrous that even the poorest of the poor did not want to come and live in these shelter houses, the toilets were terrible, there was no drinking water, there was no arrangement for bathing.
