State government employees and pensioners can get some relief from inflation. The Finance Department has prepared a file to increase the dearness allowance by three percent. As soon as Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami approves the proposal, dearness allowance will be given to the employees. According to sources, orders may be issued by next week.
In March, the central government had implemented the decision to increase dearness allowance by three percent from January 1, 2022. After this, the proposal regarding DA was prepared at the level of the state government as well. Employees facing rising inflation are also hoping to get some relief from DA.
Here, according to sources in the Finance Department, the order of DA would have been issued by now, but the situation was not clear regarding the Secretary Finance in the Finance Department. Recently, in the transfer order, the responsibility of Secretary Finance has also been fixed. According to sources, the file of DA has now reached Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, passing through the Finance Department. DA orders will be issued as soon as their approval is received.
DA will increase to 34 percent due to increase of three percent
At present, the DA of state employees is 31 percent. With the increase of 3% DA, it will become 34 percent.
Three and a half lakh employees-pensioners will get benefit
The benefit of three percent DA will be available to about three and a half lakh employees and pensioners of the state government. Later, the employees of public sector undertakings will also get the benefit of this. There are about 1.5 lakh employees and 1.25 lakh pensioners in the state.
Benefits from Rs 1000 to Rs 5000
According to sources in the Finance Department, with the release of three percent DA, the employees will benefit from a minimum amount of Rs 1000 to more than Rs 5000 in their salary.
