There is good news for Aadhar card users. In fact, out of 166 Aadhaar Seva Kendras planned by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), the issuing body of the Aadhaar number, so far 58 centers have started functioning. Residents can visit these Aadhaar Seva Kendras i.e. ASK (Aadhaar Seva Kendra) for services like Aadhaar Enrollment and Change of Address.
166 Aadhar Seva Kendras to be opened in 122 cities
Sourav Garg, Chief Executive Officer, UIDAI said on the launch of Aadhaar Seva Kendra in Ghaziabad, “UIDAI has planned to operate 166 Aadhaar Seva Kendras in 122 cities across the country. Out of these, 58 centers have been established so far and they have started functioning.”
“All these centers are air-conditioned and designed with adequate seating capacity keeping in mind the needs of the differently-abled,” he said.
Union Ministers VK Singh and Rajiv Chandrashekhar inaugurated
According to an official statement, Rajiv Chandrashekhar, Minister of State for Electronics and IT and Minister of State for Road Transport, Highways and Civil Aviation VK Singh jointly inaugurated the fifth Aadhaar Seva Kendra located in Uttar Pradesh in Ghaziabad on Sunday.
