State-owned telecom company BSNL has waived installation charges for users taking new broadband or landline connections. These charges have been waved off for a limited period. BSNL operates the largest broadband business in India. Even though BSNL’s mobile network business is less, its broadband business is bigger than Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio. The free installation offer from BSNL will be live till August 5, 2021 and will be valid for 90 days thereafter.
BSNL is removing installation charge from these services
BSNL customers had to pay Rs 250 for getting new landline connection or new broadband connection on existing landline. Apart from this, users going for new Bharat Fiber connection have to pay Rs 500 for installation. As previously reported by Kerala Telecom, this charge will be removed for users from 5 August 2021. This offer is for 90 days. That is, it will be applicable till November 2, 2021. Note that customers will still have to pay a charge to get the modem from the company.
If you’re going for the 100 Mbps or higher plan, you’ll need to get a dual-band router that can support 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi networks. This is not the first time that BSNL is offering the installation at no cost to the users. The company keeps on bringing such offers. BSNL users can avail free installation on their first month bill.
