Electricity Mobility Promotion Policy: Now buying a vehicle will be easier. Goa Government on Saturday launched Electric Mobility Promotion Policy-2021 to promote the use of e-vehicles (EV).



Electricity Mobility Promotion Policy: If you also want to buy a vehicle, then there is good news for you. The government is giving a subsidy of 3 lakhs to buy a car. The government has started a new policy to promote electric vehicles. In fact, to promote the use of e-vehicles (EV), the Goa government launched the Electric Mobility Promotion Policy-2021.

Electric mobility will get an incentive

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has launched this policy on Saturday i.e. today during the round table organized by the Ministry of Industry to promote Electricity Mobility. Chief Minister Sawant said that the main objective of this policy is to promote the use of battery operated vehicles and to generate employment for the people of the state.

Subsidy to buyers of e-vehicles


The Chief Minister said, ‘We are encouraging manufacturing. Toll tax exemption is being given for five years on all categories of e-vehicles registered in Goa. The state government will also give subsidy to the buyers of e-vehicles and set up a charging infrastructure. Sawant told PTI that there will be a charging structure every 25 km on the highways. Charging stations in the city will be at a shorter distance than the highways.

State government will give subsidy

The Chief Minister said, ‘Our policy is for two, three and four wheeler e-vehicles. It is 30 percent for two wheelers and 40 percent for three wheelers. We will give up to Rs 3 lakh for four wheelers.

‘First come-first served’ rule

The Chief Minister said that this benefit would be given to about 400 vehicles on ‘first come-first serve’ basis. This policy will create 10,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities in the state.
