Before Diwali, the central employees pensioners have got the gift of 4% dearness allowance and bonus. Due to this increase, the salary of the employees has increased from Rs 50,000 to Rs 2,00,000 annually. After 38% DA, now central employees are going to get another gift.

In fact, once again a big jump can be seen in the minimum salary of the employees. According to media reports, the present government is contemplating to increase the fitment factor of central employees.

52 lakh employees will get benefit
For a long time, there has been a demand for increase in the fitment factor by the central employees to increase the basic salary. Chunky fitment factor is a way to determine the minimum salary of central employees. The pay matrix made in the 7th pay commission is based on the fitment factor.

The fitment factor is considered to have a big role in the salary received by the employees. Due to this factor, the salary of central employees is increased by more than two and a half times. It can benefit from 50,000 to 96,000 in the basic salary of about 52,00,000 employees.

Salary will increase up to 26000
According to media reports, under the Seventh Pay Commission, the minimum salary of employees can be increased once again by the Modi government. At present the fitment factor of the employees under the 7th Pay Commission is 2.57 times. And the basic salary is 18000.

In the same 8th Pay Commission, the minimum basic salary can be increased to Rs 26000 by reducing the fitment factor to 3.68 percent. This will increase the minimum basic salary by about 8000. By the way, there is also a proposal that the government can also make the minimum salary of Rs 21,000.

At present the maximum salary is 56900
According to sources, a three-fold increase in the fitment factor of central employees can be agreed, although any decision on this will be taken only after the next budget session. A draft will be prepared for this, which will be sent to the government. The same government can also hold a Senate meeting next month regarding the fitment factor.

However, no official confirmation has been made about it yet. At present, the minimum salary of central employees is Rs 18000, while the maximum salary is Rs 56,900.

For example, how much will the salary increase
If the basic salary of a central employee is Rs 18,000, then his salary excluding allowances will be 18,000 X 2.57 = profit of Rs 46,260.
On being 3.68, the salary will be Rs 95,680 (26000 X 3.68 = 95,680) i.e. Rs 49,420 will be benefited in the salary.
If the fitment factor is 3 times, the salary will be 21000X3 = Rs 63,000. The government can take a decision after considering this after the next year’s budget.
Last time in 2017 the entry level basic pay was increased from Rs 7000 to Rs 18000 per month.
