Under the new education policy, the Higher Education Department has decided to start this system for the students.

According to Higher Education Minister Mohan Yadav, it has been decided to start this system as an initiative to make the youth aware of environmental protection. Now students will have to plant a tree as a compulsory thing in all the colleges across the state. The whole process is being prepared for this. Under this process, the students will have to give all the information about planting trees to the college management. Apart from this, Minister Yadav informed that the tree maintenance numbers will also be added in the examination of the students.




Will get degree or diploma only after planting trees

This system will be judged as the contribution of youth in the field of saving the environment. Only after this contribution of the students will they be given a degree or diploma by the Higher Education Department. The scheme of planting trees from the new academic session will be implemented in colleges for the students. Preparations are also being made to cut marks of students for not planting trees, for not taking proper care of trees.

University and college will adopt at least one village


 

According to the order issued by the Higher Education Department, from now on it will be mandatory for all the universities and colleges across the state to adopt at least one village. So far about 1000 villages have been adopted. Adopting villages will not only inculcate the spirit of social service in the students, but will also get an opportunity to know more things about the environment. Along with this, youth living in urban areas will also be able to understand the rural environment and lifestyle there. The village adopting organization will also conduct awareness campaigns in the village about health education, environment cleanliness through students. Youth will be able to play an important role in disseminating information about government schemes to the villagers.
