According to the latest media reports, in July, the dearness allowance (DA Hike) of central employees can be increased again by 4 percent. If this happens, then the employees will get DA of 2 lakh 60 thousand rupees annually. At present, the employees are getting 34% DA. After this increase it will go up to 38%.
In fact, currently all central employees and pensioners are getting DA and DR at the rate of 34 percent under the 7th Pay Commission. Now once a new dearness allowance will be announced in July because dearness allowance of central employees is increased twice a year. The first increase is from January to June and the second from July to December, which is determined by the data of the AICPI Index. The figures for 3 months are yet to come.
According to media reports, after the data till June, the central government will review it in July and the final decision on DA will be taken. If the DA increases by 3-4 percent, then it will cross 37% or 38% and there will be a jump in the salary up to 2.60. 47 lakh central employees and 68 lakh pensioners will get the benefit of this. Central employees get DA according to basic pay and grade, so they can calculate salary accordingly.
According to media reports , for example, if the basic salary of the employees is Rs 56,900, they will get Rs 21,622 as DA on 38% dearness allowance and the salary will increase by Rs 2,276 per month i.e. the annual salary will increase by Rs 27,312 i.e. total annual DA will be Rs. 2,59,464. Similarly, 18000 people will also get Rs. 8640 per month and annual benefit of Rs. 1,03,680. The same DA will be calculated according to different salary people. If someone’s salary is Rs. 20000 then 4 percent. Accordingly, it will increase by Rs 800 in a month. Dearness allowance is determined from the basic salary of the employees, for this a formula is also fixed.
