Railway News: There is good news for railway employees. In the financial year 2022-23, the Central Staff Benefit Fund will take railway employees and their children on holiday tours. For this, three types of camps will be organized. About Rs 50 lakh will be spent on this.
In fact, this decision has been taken in a meeting of the Central Staff Benefit Fund (SBBF) committee chaired by Dr. Mahua Verma, Principal Chief Personnel Officer at Garden Reach Headquarters, Kolkata. Under this, three types of tours for SBBF railway employees and their children. In this, the first camp will be organized in the month of November-December for the physically challenged railway employees, 3 days holiday camp and entertainment will be arranged in the South Eastern Railway zone.
The same second camp will be organized for the employees retiring soon. For this 120 employees will be selected from Chakradharpur, Ranchi, Adra and Kharagpur divisions. Last time these employees were taken by air to Andaman by the committee. Whereas, the third camp will be for the children of the employees studying up to 8th standard in railways or private schools. This camp will be organized in January 2023 at a resort in Kharagpur and Kolkata, on which the committee will spend 8 lakh rupees.
Apart from this, an amount of 15 lakhs for railway employees will be built in Chakradharpur Mandal Open Gym, children of employees will get Rs 18,000 per annum for medical, engineering and higher education allowance on degree courses of 3-4 years. The parents who claimed late allowance due to Kovid 19 last financial year, will also get the benefit of the scheme.
