New Delhi. The Employees’ Provident Fund Organization has started the process of adding interest to the account of its account holders. EPFO gave this information by tweeting on 31 October. Responding to a user’s query, the organization said that the process of transferring interest has been started and soon the money will reach the beneficiaries’ account. Apart from this, EPFO also said that no one will suffer any kind of loss in interest.

The organization said that this time the delay in transfer of interest is due to software upgrade. Beneficiaries are getting interest on the deposits for 2021-22. Through SMS,
you have to send EPFO UAN LAN from your registered mobile number to 7738299899. Here LAN means language. If you want information in Hindi then HIN and if you want information in English then you can send it by writing ENG. Similarly, the option of other languages can also be selected.

Through UMANG App,
you can check PF account balance through UMANG App on your smartphone. Go to UMANG app and select EPFO. Open Employee Centric Service. After this, select the option ‘view passbook’ and enter the UN and password. An OTP will come on your mobile, enter it and the balance will be in front of you.
You can also check balance by missed call
If you are registered on UN portal then you can also check balance in account by giving missed call on 011-22901406. This free service and your call will get disconnected automatically after 2 hours. Your bank account number, PAN and Aadhaar number should be linked with UAN for this service. Apart from this, you can also check the balance by visiting the EPFO website. Go to the portal and login through UAN and password. Click on download passbook and passbook will open in front of you.
