Central employees and pensioners are going to get great news soon. The government is now going to give a verdict on the outstanding DA arrears of 18 months. After a long wait, now the pensioners have asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to find a solution to this matter.
The pensioners’ organization has also submitted a memorandum to PM Modi. In this memorandum, PM Modi has been urged to give a decision on this subject soon. If this happens, then in the coming time a huge amount can come in the account of central employees and pensioners.
The employees are adamant on their demand regarding this 18 months DA arrears. If the central employees get the arrears of DA arrears in the 7th Pay Commission, then a huge amount will come in the account of the employees. According to Shiv Gopal Mishra of the National Council of JCM, the DA arrears of Level-1 employees will be between Rs 11,880 and Rs 37,554. At the same time, if the calculation is done for Level-13, then an employee will get Rs 1,44,200 to Rs 2,18,200 of DA arrears in his hand.
Bharti Pensioners Manch has appealed to PM Modi that PM Modi should intervene in this matter. Because pensioners say that 18 months arrears is their only source of livelihood. In such a situation, it is not right to stop this amount from anywhere. Let us tell you that due to the Covid-19 epidemic, the increase of DA was stopped from May 2020 to June 30, 2021. After this, dearness allowance was restored from July 1, 2021, which is being benefited by pensioners and employees.
Let us tell you that after the Corona period, the Central Government had increased the dearness allowance by 11 percent in a lump sum from July 1, 2020. But, during that time the arrears of dearness allowance have not been received by the employees till now. On this subject, it was said by the Finance Ministry last year that arrears will not be paid in place of freeze dearness allowance. On the other hand, due to the demands of the organizations, the pressure on the government is increasing continuously. At present, the dearness allowance of central employees has been increased to 34 percent. On the other hand, according to the data of AICPI so far, dearness allowance may increase once in August. This will benefit 52 lakh central government employees and more than 65 lakh pensioners.
