According to the center, the postal servants of India Post Payments Bank will help the elderly pensioners in delivering the Annual Life Certificate to the bank or the concerned department. This will save them from the hassle of going out of the house.
New Delhi. The center is continuously working towards increasing the facilities of the people. In this episode, now the government has taken an important step for the elderly pensioners above the age of 80 years. Actually, pensioners have to go to the bank in the month of November every year and submit the Annual Life Certificate. His pension can also be stopped if the certificate is not submitted. According to the central government, elderly pensioners do not need to come to the bank to submit this certificate. Now 1.89 lakh postal servants of India Post Payments Bank will take this certificate from their home and submit it to the bank or the concerned department.
According to the central government, annual life certificates can be submitted at more than 1.36 lakh desks in post offices. At the same time, the life certificate signed by the designated officer on behalf of the pensioner will be valid. Also, pensioners can submit Annual Life Certificate sitting at home through the portal. In a letter issued on 20 September 2021 by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Government of India, it has been said that pensioners do not need to visit the bank themselves. Earlier this certificate had to be submitted every year in the month of October. Now it is deposited in the month of November.
List of nominated officers ready to sign
According to the ministry, according to the plan book issued by the CPAO, the pensioners have been given the facility to submit the certificate sitting at home. As per the plan book, a list of designated officers has been prepared to sign the Annual Life Certificate. Let us inform that India Post Payments Bank in association with MeitY started this initiative for pensioners in November 2020. There is a provision to provide door step service for submission of digital life certificate through postman. For this, the department used its network of postmen and Gramin Dak Sevaks across the country. They provide door-to-door facility of submission of certificates digitally.

2. DoPPW has also given the facility of submission of Annual Life Certificate in the branches of 12 public sector banks.
