The train is already being prepared on advanced technology
Zee News correspondent Brahm Prakash Dubey reached Integral Coach Factory, Chennai (ICF Chennai) to see Vande Bharat train coaches being made on advanced technology. Here Zee News correspondent spoke to Sanjay and Bharat, Senior Engineer of ICF Coach Factory and inquired about the coach of Vande Bharat train.
Plan to connect 75 cities
He told that there is a plan to connect 75 cities with Vande Bharat trains next year. For this, work is going on in full swing at ICF, Chennai. He said that about 4,000 railway coaches are manufactured every year in the factory. The maximum speed of Vande Bharat train coach is 160 kmph. ICF Chennai Engineer Sanjay said that the new coaches of Vande Bharat train will come with hi-tech technology as compared to the first coach.
More comfortable seat
More comfortable seats will be given for the passengers in the new coach. In emergency, the facility of talking to the driver of the passenger has also been given inside the train itself. Apart from this, the ‘Petri car’ of the coach is also more advanced than before. There is facility of both hot and cold water here. Apart from this, many features make these coaches already advanced.
120 crore estimated to be spent
The production of these coaches is targeted to be done before August 15, 2023. Let us tell you that Vande Bharat is the first indigenous semi high speed train of Indian Railways and it has been designed in-house. It is estimated that Rs 120 crore will be spent on 16 coach Vande Bharat train. The trains will be lighter, more energy-efficient and have more advanced and passenger amenities in the new version of the trains.
Let us tell you that till now only Vande Bharat Express trains with seating arrangement have been run. This existing interaction of the train will have a sleeper coach to facilitate long distance travel throughout the night. The new train will have 3 classes with AC-1, AC-2 and AC-3 coaches. Presently Vande Bharat only comes with the seating facility. The country’s first Vande Bharat was flagged off from New Delhi to Kanpur on February 15, 2019.
