7th Pay Commission latest news: Central employees are getting tremendous benefits this year. Employees getting salary under 7th Pay Commission have received the gift of DA hike in July itself. But, the employees who do not come in the 7th Pay Commission have also got bumper benefits. Some employees of Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) and Indian Railways currently get salary under the Sixth Pay Commission. Recently the Dearness allowance of these employees has also been increased. The DA of such employees has been increased by 25 percent.

Dearness allowance is 189 percent
Despite not appearing in the 7th Pay Matrix, there has been a bumper increase in the salary of these employees. The Modi government has restored the Dearness Allowance after one and a half years. Under the Sixth Pay Commission, now these employees will get 189 percent DA instead of 164 percent. Employees of Indian Railways and CPSEs will get the benefit of increased DA with the salary of September and can also get arrears of two months.

Salary will increase by Rs 22500 per month

According to the DA calculation, now there will be a bumper increase in the salary of these employees. The maximum basic pay in 6th Pay Commission is Rs 90000 per month. On this, DA at the rate of 164 percent is Rs 147600. At the same time, now with the increase of 25 percent DA, the calculation will be done according to 189 percent. In such a situation, on the maximum basic pay of Rs 90000, the total DA will be Rs 170100 per month. Now if you see the difference between the two, then there has been a direct increase of Rs 22500. At the same time, the minimum basic pay in 6th CPC is Rs 7000 per month. In such a situation, their dearness allowance will increase by Rs 1750.

Formula to Calculate DA
6th CPC DA Percentage = (12 Monthly Average – AICPI Avg) / AICPI Avg x 100
7th CPC DA Percentage = (12 Monthly Average – AICPI Avg) / AICPI Avg x 100

Basic Salary in 6th Pay Commission

Minimum Basic Salary = Rs 7000 Month
Maximum Basic Pay = Rs 90000 Month
Maximum Salary Difference – 170100 – 147600 = Rs 22500

Got benefit after 18 months
The Central Government has been reinstated after a moratorium on dearness allowance for 18 months. It was frozen in May 2020 due to the pandemic. The government had saved more than Rs 34000 crore from this. This amount was used by the government to fight against Kovid. Now that the ban on the increase in dearness allowance has been lifted, there is a big increase in the salary of the employees. The DA of central employees was also increased to 28 per cent in July. They are getting paid at the same rate.
