7th Pay Commission, 7th CPC Latest News, Government Employees: Jharkhand Government has approved the proposal to increase the House Rent Allowance (HRA) of government employees to the Finance Department as per the recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission (7th Pay Commission). The new HRA, which will be implemented with retrospective effect from July 1, 2021. It will be given to the employees on the basis of the category of cities which will be 27%, 18% and 9% of their basic salary.
Along with this, the cabinet has also approved another proposal of the Finance Department in which dearness allowance of employees and pensioners has been increased from 164% to 189% with effect from July 1 this year. Apart from this, the cabinet gave its approval to the proposal of the Department of Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare to frame new appointment rules, which will allow the state medical colleges to recruit professors and assistant professors on contract. At present there are six government medical colleges in the state.
UP: Dearness allowance at the rate of 28% to government employees from July 1, 2021
The Uttar Pradesh government will start paying Dearness Allowance (DA) at the rate of 28% to government employees from July 1, 2021. The decision to increase the DA rate from 17% to 28% was announced on July 28, in line with the Centre’s decision.
The revision of DA in 2020 was put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic. DA is increased twice annually on 1st January and 1st July, but in April 2020 the Center and then the state announced that there will be no amendment till 1st July 2021.
