Indian Railways has increased the refund deadline from 6 months to 9 months for passengers canceling tickets.
Train tickets cancellation refund: During the lockdown, the Railway Ministry had stopped all its train services. However, after some time special trains started running. During this time people had booked tickets to go to their respective destinations and many people had also canceled tickets. Though the railway had refunded their money to those canceling the ticket, there are still many people who have not received the refund yet. For such people, the Railway Ministry has given some relaxation in the rules for canceling tickets.
Railway Ministry has said that so far many passengers have not withdrawn their canceled tickets. In view of this, Railway Zonal had demanded to increase the period of cancellation of tickets. In view of this, the railway ministry has increased this period from 6 months to 9 months.
Indian Railways has extended the time limit for Ticket Refund from 9 months to 9 months for passengers who are ticket tickets cancellation.
According to the railway, if you had made your reservation from 21 March 2020 to 31 July 2020 and have not received the refund money after canceling the ticket, now you can take your ticket money anytime for 9 months.
Indian Railways says that the department will refund the money of all the passengers who got their tickets during Corona. So these people do not have to worry about their money.

All the passengers who had booked their tickets from the reservation counter of the railway station, can deposit their tickets at the counter and collect the refund from there. Passengers who have booked tickets online get a refund automatically when the train is canceled.
