Old age pension increased in Himachal Pradesh
This increase in monthly old age pension has been done in Himachal Pradesh. Himachal Pradesh CM Jai Ram Thakur made an announcement in this regard while presenting the budget for 2022-23 in the Vidhan Sabha on Friday. He was presenting the fifth and final budget of his government.
Income limit has not been kept
Along with this, Thakur also announced to reduce the age limit from 70 years to 60 years for availing old age pension. It is worth noting that there is no income limit for availing pension.
Disability pension also increased
At the same time, leprosy patients of 60 to 69 years will now get Rs 1 thousand instead of Rs 850. Similarly, the pension of disabled, widows, single women has been increased from Rs 1000 to Rs 1150. At the same time, the elderly above 70 years of age, more than 70 percent disabled will get Rs 1,700 instead of 1,500.
MLA area development fund also increased
Apart from this, many other announcements were also made in the budget. CM Thakur has increased the MLA Area Development Fund by Rs 20 lakh. It has been increased from Rs 1.80 crore to Rs 2 crore.
Three free cylinders will be available on new connection
According to media reports, the CM said that the Ujjwala scheme will continue in the state. Also, people from economically weaker sections will get three free cylinders in a year on new connections.
