The Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has told on its official Twitter handle that when the interest amount of the Provident Fund will be deposited in your accounts.
In the midst of the Corona crisis, 6 crore account holders of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) were expecting that the Provident Fund interest amount would be transferred to their account for July 2021. However, EPFO did not transfer the money till July 31. After this, the PF account holders are expecting that they will get the PF money within the next two days i.e. by 31 August 2021. Now EPFO has told on its official Twitter handle that when will the amount of PF interest be transferred to the subscriber’s account.
Tagging the EPFO on Twitter, an account holder asked when the interest money would be transferred by EPFO. On this, it has been told by the EPFO that the interest amount will be deposited in the account simultaneously. No one will be harmed due to interest. However, EPFO did not say when the interest money would be transferred to the account. The central government has approved 8.5 percent interest for the financial year 2020-21. Still, the employees are hopeful that in the next two days, the amount of PF interest will come in their account. Let us know how PF balance can be found.
How to check balance through SMS
If your UAN is registered with EPFO, then your latest contribution and PF balance information can be received through the message. For this you have to send EPFOHO UAN ENG to 7738299899. The last three letters are for language. If you want information in Hindi then you can send it by writing EPFOHO UAN HIN. The service is available in English, Punjabi, Marathi, Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Bengali. This SMS should be sent from the registered mobile number of UAN.
How to Check Balance
by making a missed call Give a missed call to 011-22901406 from your registered mobile number. After this a message will be received from EPFO. In this you will get the details of your PF account. For this, it is necessary that the bank account, PAN and Aadhaar should be linked with UAN. No fee is charged for this service. Apart from this, balance check can also be done from EPFO website. For this, one has to go to the EPFO Passbook Portal. Now you have to login with your UAN and passbook. After that click on Download View Passbook option.

Employees associated with EPFO can check PF account balance through UMANG app. Apart from viewing the EPF passbook, you can claim. This is a government app. With the help of this app, you can take advantage of many features. You have to register it by downloading it in your phone.
