Following the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) order, India’s leading telecom companies Jio, Airtel and Vi have significantly reduced the prices of their voice and SMS recharge plans. These companies were directed by TRAI to review the prices of their plans and provide better and more affordable options to the customers. With this step, customers are getting the best services at affordable prices.

Jio has slashed its recharge plans by more than Rs 200.

Jio had earlier launched its two flagship voice and SMS plans. Unlimited calling, SMS and long validity were being given in these plans.

1. Rs 458 plan: In this plan, customers were getting unlimited calling, 1,000 SMS and validity of 84 days.

2. Rs 1,958 plan: Customers were getting unlimited calling and 3,600 SMS with a validity of 365 days.

After TRAI’s review of this plan, Jio has drastically reduced its prices:

  • The Rs 458 plan will now be available for Rs 448, a reduction of Rs 10.
  • The Rs 1,958 plan is now available at Rs 1,748, a huge reduction of Rs 210.

This means that Jio has reduced the price of its Rs 1,958 plan by more than Rs 200, so that customers can now get more services at cheaper rates.

Airtel has also reduced its prices

Airtel has also reduced the prices of its voice and SMS recharge plans. Earlier the company had launched two major plans:

1. Rs 499 plan: It offered customers unlimited calling and 900 SMS for 84 days. Now the price of this plan has become 469 rupees, i.e. it has been reduced by 30 rupees.

2. Rs 1,959 plan: This plan offers unlimited calling and 3,600 SMS with a validity of 365 days. Now its price has become Rs 1,849, i.e. reduced by Rs 110.
Thus, Airtel has also reduced the prices of its two flagship plans to provide more affordable options for customers.

Vi has also introduced new and cheaper plans

Vi (Vodafone Idea) has also introduced two new and affordable plans for its customers. Earlier, the company had a single plan that offered unlimited calling and 3,600 SMS with a validity of 365 days for Rs 1,849. Now Vi has changed it to two new plans:

1. Rs 1,849 plan: This plan offers 365 days validity, unlimited calling and 3,600 SMS as before.

2. Rs 470 plan: It offers unlimited calling and 900 SMS with a validity of 84 days.
Vi has given its customers more options with new plans, from which they can choose according to their needs and budget.

Telecom services made cheaper and more affordable

TRAI’s order has made telecom services more affordable and affordable for customers. Earlier, while companies were claiming to give additional benefits by changing their data plans to voice and SMS plans, now with TRAI’s intervention, customers are getting more services at the same price. Apart from this, it also proves that this move by TRAI will increase competition among telecom companies, thereby providing cheaper recharges and better services to the customers. These changes also show that companies are now prioritizing the needs of their customers, and are committed to providing them with affordable and satisfactory telecom services.

After TRAI’s order, Jio, Airtel and Vi have significantly reduced the prices of their voice and SMS plans, giving customers cheaper recharge options. Jio has slashed its Rs 1,958 plan by Rs 210, Airtel has also slashed the prices of its two flagship plans, and Vi has introduced new cheaper plans. This will give customers better services and more options, and they will be able to avail these services at more affordable rates than before.
