Let us tell you that in our country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had started the Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana in the year 2014, almost seven years have been completed by starting this scheme.
The only goal of starting this scheme was that the people of all the poor families should be linked with the bank and whatever facilities and benefits the poor people get from the government, they can come directly in their account. This will benefit poor families and reduce corruption.
The Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) has completed seven years. More than 40 crore Jan Dhan accounts have been opened under this scheme. Many types of facilities are available in the plan including insurance. One such facility is of overdraft limit.
Amount up to 10 thousand rupees: Under this, even if there is no balance in your Jan Dhan account, you will get an overdraft facility up to Rs 10,000. In a way, it is like a short term loan. Earlier this amount was 5 thousand rupees. The maximum age limit for overdraft facility in this account is 65 years. At the same time, overdraft facility will be available only after 6 months of satisfactory operation of this account. At the same time, an overdraft of up to Rs 2,000 is available without any conditions.
If you also want to take advantage of this facility, then go to the bank in which you have an account and inquire.
