Diageo India on Monday said it is providing 26 weeks of parental leave to employees of all genders, including all benefits and bonuses, as part of its family leave policy.
Diageo India said in a statement that this policy is part of its commitment to building a diverse and inclusive workplace culture and supporting the cause of gender equality. With effect from July 30, 2021, the policy is applicable to all new parents, and can be availed by new fathers anytime within 12 months of the birth/adoption of the child, the company said. It will help in focusing better on your career as well as other priorities.
This policy takes into account surrogacy, adoption and biological insemination. Its aim is to remove the obstacles in career advancement. Arif Aziz, Chief Human Resource Officer of the company said, “We are very proud to be one of the few companies to introduce such a policy in India and we expect it to become commonplace for the entire industry soon. .
