Good News to central employees: Level-1 salary will benefit up to Rs 75108 on increasing DA

7th Pay Commission: Central employees are awaiting payment of their dearness allowance. DA stuck for one and a half year is going to be available in September salary. The arrears of July-August 2021 can also be found together. In such a situation, more than 1 crore central employees and pensioners will definitely be interested to know how much their salary will increase. Recently, the National Council of JCM (Staff Side) had issued a letter. According to the letter, Dearness Allowance (DA Payment) is to be paid along with the salary of September.

How will it be decided how much money will increase?

The central government has removed the ban on freeze dearness allowance from January 2020. The dearness allowance (DA Hike) of employees has been increased by 11 percent. Central employees and pensioners will be paid DA and DR at the rate of 28 percent. Let us tell you, central employees and pensioners will get the benefit of increased salary according to their basic pay and grade. There will be an increase of 11 percent according to the pay grade. However, other allowances will also be added to this.

What will be the difference in salary?

According to the 7th Pay Commission Matrix, the salary range of Level-1 of central employees ranges from Rs 18,000 to Rs 56900. The minimum basic salary is Rs 18,000. If dearness allowance is calculated on the basic salary of Rs 18,000 at the rate of 28 per cent, then the total annual dearness allowance will be Rs 60,480. But talking about the difference, the annual increase in salary will be Rs 23760 due to an increase of 11 percent.

1. Basic salary Rs 18,000
2. Dearness allowance (28%) Rs 5040/month
3. Dearness allowance (17%) Rs 3060/month
4. Difference in dearness allowance 5040-3060 = Rs 1980/month
5. Increase in annual salary 1980X12= Rs 23760

Similarly, the calculation on the highest basic salary

The maximum basic salary of Level-1 is Rs 56900. According to 28 percent dearness allowance, the total annual dearness allowance on the basic salary of Rs 56900 will be Rs 191,184. But talking about the difference, the annual increase in salary will be Rs 75108.

1. Basic salary Rs56900

2. Dearness allowance (28%) Rs 15932/month

3. Dearness allowance (17%) Rs 9673/month

4. Difference in dearness allowance 15932-9673 = Rs 6259/month

5. Increase in annual salary 6259X12 = Rs 75108

The benefit of HRA will also be added to the salary

Even though there is a big difference from the payment of dearness allowance. But, how much salary will come in the end, its calculation will be known after adding other allowances including HRA. This calculation has been done only as an estimate on the basis of increase in dearness allowance. It should not be considered as final salary.

3% DA may increase in June 2021



Dearness allowance for June 2021 is yet to increase. It is clear from the AICPI data from January to May 2021 that the dearness allowance may increase by 3 percent in June. In such a situation, in the coming days, dearness allowance at the rate of 31 percent will be paid to the central employees. According to JCM Secretary (Staff Side) Shiv Gopal Mishra, it is to be announced soon. However, when it will be paid is not yet decided.
