This is a big relief for those pensioners and other senior citizens who are not tech savvy and had to visit their bank for life certificate.
In fact, on some occasions, the pensioner has to approach his employer to obtain his Jeevan Pramaan or Jeevan Pramaan. This proposal of India Post will facilitate about 60 lakh pensioners of the central government and pensioners of various states, union territories and other government agencies.

India Post announced about this initiative from its official Twitter handle and said, Senior citizens can now easily avail Jeevan Pramaan services at the CSC counter of the nearest post office. Explain that central and state government pensioners have to submit their life certificate in the month of November every year to continue pension. Through this it is certified that the pensioner is alive. If this certificate is not submitted, the pension can be stopped.

Get the certificate from your nearest post office
After the announcement by India Post, a pensioner can go to his nearest post office instead of the pension disbursing agency or the authority where he has served and get his life certificate to continue receiving pension in future .
Pensioners who have difficulty in approaching the post office or pension disbursing agency can visit the nearest Jeevan Pramaan center to obtain a Digital Life Certificate.
