Good News: If you are a worker in the unorganized sector and your monthly income is less than 15 thousand rupees, then there is good news for you. You can register yourself on the e-shram portal. With this, you can be free from the worries of expenses during any accident and illness. After registration on the e-shram portal, workers will be entitled to two lakh insurance in case of accident. Will also join the Ayushman scheme, which gives health protection cover up to five lakh rupees annually to the family. Not only this, government assistance will also be available in case of emergency.

For any assistance, helpline number 14434 can be contacted. At the same time, complaint can be lodged through www.gms.eshram.gov.in portal. The unorganized workers include construction workers, domestic workers, rickshaw pullers, hawkers, migrant and platform workers, agricultural workers, MNREGA workers, and all types of workers whose monthly income is less than Rs 15,000.




How to register

If your mobile number is linked with Aadhaar, you can register yourself. For this, one has to go to the e-shram portal www.eshram.gov.in. At the same time, those whose mobile number is not linked with Aadhaar, they will have to go to CSC for registration. Such workers will be registered through biometric authentication. The CSC will print the e-shram card on the paper and hand it over to the worker. Registration will be completely free.


Who can register

  • Such workers, who are in the age group of 16 to 59 years and do not avail benefits of Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) or State Insurance Corporation (ESIC).
  • Workers who are not income tax payers.
  • Workers who are not government employees.
