In order to regularize those working on ad-hoc, ‘Uttar Pradesh (outside the scope of UPPSC) Regulation of Ad-hoc Appointments (Fourth Amendment) Rules 2021’ was brought by the state government. Now it has been approved. When there was a need for teacher professors in government institutions and aided schools of the state, then the facility was given to make appointments on ad-hoc to fill their shortage. These ad hoc service people have been regularized from time to time.
According to the rules of the Personnel Department, there was a system to regularize those who were appointed on ad-hoc till 30 June 1998, but the contract, daily wage earners and work charge personnel were to be regularized till 31 December 2001. The cutoff date has been kept.
Appealed till Supreme Court
Those working on ad-hoc had gone from the High Court to the Supreme Court for their demand. Their demand was that the cutoff should be kept till December 31, 2001 to make them regular. Based on this, the Personnel Department has decided to regularize those who get ad-hoc appointments till this duration in the posts outside the Public Service
Commission (UPPSC). This will give a big relief to the workers and teachers working on the ad-hoc of the state. The department will issue the revised rules soon. After this the process of regularization will start.
