Google Pay New Rule: Big news! Now you will not be able to make payments for free, you will have to pay charges on such transactions

Google Pay Charge: This fee will be applicable on every transaction, no matter which bill you are paying. According to Google Pay, the latest fee details will be shown on the screen while making payment.

Google Pay Charge: If you also use Google Pay, then this news is for you. Google Pay is usually used for services like mobile recharge, electricity and gas bill payment. But now if you pay electricity, gas or other utility bills with Google Pay, then you may have to pay additional charges.

According to a report by Economic Times, Google Pay has now started charging convenience fee on bill payments made through credit and debit cards. Earlier users were using this service for free. This fee has been imposed especially on small transactions, including gas and electricity bills. This fee can range from 0.5% to 1%, to which GST will also be added. However, no additional charge will be levied on payments made through UPI.

How much will be the fee?

The report also states that if you pay bills using a credit or debit card, you will have to pay a processing fee. PhonePe and Paytm already charge for such services. This fee can range from 0.5% to 1%, depending on the transaction amount and GST will also be applicable.

It is worth noting that this charge will also apply to payments made using Rupay cards. Card payments will also not be allowed in certain bill categories.

How will this fee be added?

When you make a bill payment using Google Pay, the convenience fee will be added to your total bill amount. But if you pay using UPI, you will not have to pay any additional fee. According to Google Pay, the convenience fee will depend on several factors, such as: bill amount, payment mode (credit/debit card), other transaction terms.

This fee will be applicable on every transaction, no matter which bill you are paying. According to Google Pay, the latest fee details will be shown on the screen while making the payment. You can see the convenience fee by going to the transaction history in your Google Pay app. This fee will be associated with your bill payment.

What happens if the transaction fails?

If your bill payment fails for any reason, the convenience fee will also be refunded to your payment account. This process can be completed in a few days. If you are paying a bill for a friend or family member, this convenience fee will also be charged. This fee will be applicable on each transaction separately, whether you are paying your own or someone else’s bill.
