First half allowance
Explain that according to the recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission, central employees get dearness allowance twice on a half-yearly basis. 4% increase possible
In the current situation, the government can increase the allowance by four percent. If this happens, the allowance will increase from 38 per cent to 42 per cent. In September last year, the central government had taken a decision on the allowance for the last time.
