Government New Announcement: People coming from India and Taiwan can enter in this country without a visa for 30 days. Country is exploring the possibility of relaxing its visa rules for travelers, including visa waivers and extending the period of stay for tourists.


There is good news for people planning to travel to Thailand from India. They will no longer need a visa to travel to Thailand. A government spokesperson for Thailand has said that visa requirements will be waived for people coming from India and Taiwan. According to Reuters, this exemption will be given from next month till May 2024.

“People coming from India and Taiwan can enter Thailand without a visa for 30 days,” Thai government spokesman Chai Wacharonke said. Thailand is exploring the possibility of relaxing its visa rules for travelers, including Including visa waiver and extending the period of stay for tourists.

Currently, travelers from India are required to pay 2000 Bhat (about $57) for a 2-day Thailand visa. Thailand’s new government aims to boost revenue from foreign tourists to 3.3 trillion baht next year. In which the travel industry provides the best short-term economic stimulus. According to Bank of Thailand data, tourism contributes about 12% of GDP and about a fifth of jobs.

Thaneth Tantipiriyakij, president of the Phuket Tourism Association, told Bloomberg in August that eliminating application fees would be ideal compared to granting visa exemptions to visitors from China and India.
