view of the second wave of New Delhi Coronavirus, the Central Government has once again announced the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Else Yojana (PM Gareeb Kalyan Ann Yojana) for poor families. Under this scheme, the central government will give 5 kg of additional food grains (rice / wheat) per person free of cost to the ration card holders in May and June. This will benefit 80 crore beneficiaries. The government says that

Over 26000 crore rupees will be spent on Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana . This free 5 kg food grains will be in addition to the quota of grains on the ration card.

The scheme was announced when a lockdown was imposed across the country in March during the first wave of Kovid-19 last year. This plan was part of the Prime Minister’s Poor Welfare Package. To provide relief to the poor families at that time, under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, the government has provided more than 80 crore ration card holders for April, May and June 2020 on the basis of the members registered in the ration card for five kilograms of grains (wheat or rice) per person. ) And one kilo of pulses per family was announced free of cost.

Demand for the economic package that the state is doing,


PM Modi said that at a time when the country is going through a difficult period, the poor got full support. 26 thousand crore rupees will be spent on this scheme by the government. Many states are also demanding an economic package from the central government. In the meeting with the CM on Friday, this demand was made by many Chief Ministers. In fact, many states have imposed lockdowns to protect Kovid. However, PM Modi has denied the nationwide lockdown and asked the states to implement it as the ultimate weapon.
