For this, the central government gives subsidy on solar rooftop installation to the consumers.
Free electricity for 20 years
Under the Solar Rooftop Subsidy Scheme, you can reduce the cost of electricity by 30 to 50 percent by installing a solar rooftop on the roof of your house. Solar rooftop will provide electricity for 25 years and in this scheme the expenses will be paid in 5-6 years. After this, you will get the benefit of free electricity from solar for the next 19-20 years.
Government will give subsidy
This scheme has been started by the Ministry of Renewable Energy, Government of India. For installing solar rooftop panels up to 3KW, you will get up to 40 percent subsidy by the government. At the same time, after 3KW, 20 percent subsidy up to 10KW will be given to you by the central government.
How much space is needed to install solar panels
- A lot of space is not required to install solar panels. You can put it on the roof of your house or factory. 1KW solar power requires 10 sqm of space.
