The government has taken strict action against fraudulent mobile connections. The Ministry of Communications said that more than 1 crore mobile connections have been closed with the help of communication partners. TRAI and DoT have taken steps to improve telecom services. Efforts are underway to improve network availability, call drop rates and packet drop rates.

New steps are being taken by the government to stop fraud. Now strict action has been taken against fraudulent mobile connections. The Ministry of Communications informed that with the help of communication partners, fraud numbers have been identified and closed. This decision has been taken by TRAI and DoT to improve telecom services. Giving a statement on Tuesday, the ministry highlighted network availability, call drop rates and packet drop rates. He also said that every possible effort is being made to improve them. More than 1 crore mobile connections have been closed so far.

To stop spam calls, TRAI had asked telecom operators to start closing and blacklisting connections. This also included robo calls and pre-recorded calls. In the recent past, about three and a half lakh numbers have been blocked. In this, 50 entities have been blacklisted. About 3.5 lakh unverified SMS headers and 12 lakh content templates have been blocked. Apart from this, 12 lakh content templates were also blocked.

With the help of communication partner, about 2.27 lakh mobile handsets were blocked. All these were involved in cyber crime and financial fraud. The Ministry of Communications is also continuously working to improve the network. Regulations have also been improved by TRAI. However, even after this, the network is still being identified. These regulations were implemented from October 1, 2024 and from April 1, 2025, performance will be monitored every month. This used to happen on a quarterly basis.

Do not use personal mobile number for other things. Promotional calls are also included in this. You should not use it. By doing this, you can come in the hit list of telecom companies and your number can be blocked.
