Cabinet decided to offer Productivity Linked Bonus and Non-Productivity Linked Bonus for 2019-2020
The central government on Wednesday announced a bonus of Rs 3,737 crore to 30.67 lakh non-gazetted employees. The government has taken this step to boost spending during the festive season. Giving this information, Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar said, “It has been decided to give Productivity Linked Bonus and Non-Productivity Linked Bonus for 2019-2020 in the Cabinet meeting today.”

He informed, “The Union Cabinet has approved the Productivity Linked Bonus and Non-Productivity Linked Bonus for 2019-2020. This will benefit 30 lakh non-gazetted employees. A total allocation of Rs 3737 crore has been made for this.”
The government will give this bonus in a week. The purpose of this bonus is to increase middle class spending, which brings money to the economy. Javadekar said that before Vijayadashmi, the amount of one-time bonus will be transferred to the employees’ accounts through direct benefit transfer.
