Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced – The government has decided to increase dearness allowance by 3%. It will be increased from 31% to 34%. 7 lakh government employees of the state will get its benefit. He tweeted- Right now our government servants of Madhya Pradesh get 31% dearness allowance. We had increased 11% together last time, but today we are deciding that now 34% dearness allowance will be given to the government servants of Madhya Pradesh.

From when will you get the benefit of increased dearness allowance?
Government employees of Madhya Pradesh will get the benefit of new dearness allowance along with the salary of August. It will be paid in September. By increasing the dearness allowance by 3 percent, there will be an additional burden of Rs 625 crore on the revenue of the state government. Madhya Pradesh government has announced to increase dearness allowance for the second time in 5 months. Earlier on March 5, dearness allowance was increased by 11% to 31%. At the same time, the state government had increased the dearness allowance in October 2021 last year. Which was increased from 12 to 8 percent to 20 percent.
