The new year has come as fun for the government employees. In fact, the list of holidays for government employees has been released. Under which government employees will get 88 days leave. Let’s check the list below.
The new year has come as a pleasure for the government employees. This year they will get 88 holidays, whereas they will have to work for only 277 days. In 2023, there will be 88 days holidays in government offices including Sunday and second Saturday. It also includes 25 public holidays. Two public holidays are falling on Sunday.
Holidays from January to December
The holiday on New Year has started on January 1 with Sunday, now January 5 will be a holiday for Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti. There will be a holiday on January 26 on account of Republic Day. Apart from this, on February 5, Mohd. Hazrat Ali’s birthday, Mahashivaratri on February 18, Holika Dahan on March 7, Holi on March 8, Ram Navami on March 30 will be a holiday.
Mahavir Jayanti on 4th April, Good Friday on 7th April, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Jayanti on 14th April, Eid ul Fitr on 22nd April, Buddha Purnima on 5th May, Idujjuha (Bakrid) on 29th June, Muharram on 29th July, Moharram on 15th August Independence Day, Rakshabandhan on August 31, Janmashtami on September 7, Baravfat on September 28 and Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti on October 2 will be a holiday.
Apart from this, Mahanavami on October 23, Vijayadashami on October 24, Diwali on November 12, Govardhan Puja on November 13, Bhaiya Duj / Chitragupta Jayanti on November 15, Guru Nanak Jayanti / Kartik Purnima on November 27, Christmas holiday on December 25 will be observed. Two of these holidays are falling on Sundays.
Apart from Republic Day in January, banks will remain closed on five Sundays and second and fourth Saturdays. Talking about holidays, this year there are 53 Sundays, 12 will be second Saturdays. Government employees will get 65 holidays just like this. The government has also declared 25 public holidays this time.
