The GST collection of March has broken the collection record of Rs 1,40,986 lakh crore in January, 2022. The collection of March, 2022 is 15 percent more than the GST collection of March last year and it is 46 percent more than the GST collection of March 2020.
In March, CGST collection was Rs 25,830 crore, SGST collection was Rs 32,378 crore, IGST collection was Rs 74,470 crore and Cess was Rs 9,417 crore. The monthly GST for the financial year 2022 is Rs 1.38 lakh crore. The government has said that the GST collection has increased due to economic reforms and action against fake billers.

According to the data of the Ministry of Finance, this is the fourth highest collection in the history of GST. Earlier in January this year, the government had earned Rs 140986 crore from GST. Earlier, in April, 2021, the GST collection was Rs 139708 crore, which is the second largest recovery. After this, in February 2022, the government has earned the highest amount of Rs 133026 crore for the third time.
