GST Collection: In the month of April, the Central Government has received a GST collection of Rs 1.68 lakh crore, which is Rs 25000 crore more than the previous month i.e. March.

According to the Finance Ministry, in April 2022, the government has got a GST collection of Rs 1,67,540 lakh crore. The April collection has broken all the records so far.

The government told how much was the collection

According to the information given by PIB, in the month of April, CGST (Central GST) stood at Rs 33,159 crore, SGST (State GST) 41,793 and IGST (Integrated GST) Rs 81,939 crore. This year the government has got 20 percent more profit as compared to the month of April last year.

Crossed 1.5 lakh crore mark for the first time

According to the information given by the government, the GST collection has crossed the 1.5 lakh crore mark for the first time. E-bay bills worth Rs 7.7 crore were issued in the month of March, which is 13 percent more than the bills issued in the month of February.


Record collection in March 2022

Let us inform that in March 2022, there was a GST collection of Rs 1.42 lakh crore. Earlier in January 2022, the Finance Ministry had said that a collection of Rs 1,40,986 crore was made. This collection in March 2022 is 15 percent more than the collection of GST revenue in the same month of last year.

The ministry said in a statement that this improvement in revenue is also due to various rate rationalization measures undertaken by the GST Council to fix the inverted duty structure.
