H-1B Visa Registration: The US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has announced that the initial registration period for 2024 H-1B visas for skilled professionals will run from March 1 to March 17. Potential petitioners and representatives will be able to complete and submit their registration using the online H-1B registration system during this period.
USCIS will provide a confirmation number for each registration submitted for the FY 2024 H-1B cap, which can be used to track the registrations, USCIS said in a release. The number cannot be used to track the status of one’s case in Case Status Online.
All potential H-1B cap-subject petitioners are required to use My USCIS Online Account to electronically register each beneficiary for the selection process.
They are also required to pay a $10 fee for each registration submitted on behalf of each beneficiary.
Registrants ie, US employers and agents will use a registrant account and they will be able to create new accounts starting February 21.
Representatives can add customers to their accounts at any time, but both representatives and registrants must wait until March 1 to enter beneficiary information and submit the registration with the $10 fee, the USCIS statement said. Will happen.
The statement further said that the prospective petitioners or their representatives would be able to submit registration for multiple beneficiaries in a single online session. Through the account, they will be able to create, edit and store draft registrations before final payment and submission of each registration.
USCIS will select registrations and send selection notifications through users’ My USCIS Online accounts.
In the event that sufficient registrations are not received, USCIS stated: All registrations properly submitted in the initial registration period will be selected. We will inform the account holders by 31st March.
The US Treasury Department has approved a temporary increase in the daily credit card transaction limit from $24,999.99 to $39,999.99 per day for the fiscal year 2024 H-1B cap season. USCIS said this temporary increase is in response to previous H-1B registration volume exceeding the daily credit card limit, adding that additional information will be provided prior to the start of the initial H-1B registration period.
