H1-B visas are given to those who go to America for work. Registration for this visa was started from March 6 and now its last date has come near. The US Department of Citizenship and Immigration will notify selected registrants when visa registration closes.
Washington: Early registration for H-1B visas, the most sought-after for foreign workers in the US for fiscal year 2025, will end on March 22 at 12 pm Eastern time. US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) said on Monday that during this period, potential applicants and legal representatives will have to use an online account to register each beneficiary for the selection process and pay the registration fee.
According to a press release, Application Form I-129 for Nonimmigrant Worker and Application Form I-907 for Premium Services are now available on USCIS’ online account. The H-1B visa is a non-immigrant visa that allows US companies to hire foreign workers in specialized occupations that require theoretical or technical expertise. Technology companies rely on this policy to hire thousands of employees every year from countries like India and China.
Filings to be accepted starting April 1
USCIS will begin accepting online filing of forms for H-1B cap petitions starting April 1. “We will announce when online filing of non-cap H-1B petitions will be available,” USCIS said.
