HCL New Center: Technology major HCL Tech is expanding its global distribution center with the launch of a new technology center in Hyderabad. This will create 5,000 additional jobs. The announcement was made after a meeting between Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu with HCL Tech’s global CEO and Managing Director C. Vijaykumar on Tuesday on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting in Davos.

According to the official press release, this new center located in an area of 3,20,000 square feet will provide cutting-edge ‘cloud’, artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation solutions to global customers in industries such as high technology, life sciences and financial services. Vijaykumar said, “Hyderabad is making an important place in HCL Tech’s global system with its world-class infrastructure and talent. The new centre will bring cutting-edge capabilities to our global customer base and contribute to the local technology ecosystem.”
Hyderabad attracts IT companies
He also invited the Chief Minister and IT Minister to formally inaugurate the new technology centre next month. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy welcomed HCL Tech’s expansion plans and said, “The new technology centre confirms Hyderabad’s continued attractiveness for global information technology (IT) companies and further strengthens its position as a leading IT hub in the world.”
HCL Tech has been in Hyderabad since 2007
Sridhar Babu stressed that the state government is committed to strengthening the technology and innovation ecosystem in Hyderabad, with a special focus on expanding it to medium and small cities to boost employment for local youth. He also assured full support to facilitate the continued growth of HCL Tech in the state. HCL Tech has been present in Hyderabad since 2007.
