Crores of customers who use credit cards and debit cards may face some problems. The country’s largest bank HDFC Bank has alerted its customers regarding this and has told them that they may face problems in using the cards for two days.

HDFC Bank sent alert

HDFC Bank has alerted all its customers about this through email and SMS. The message sent by the bank states that its credit cards, debit cards and prepaid cards will not be able to be used for some time. These cards will be unavailable for transactions during the stated period.

There will be trouble at this time

The time for which HDFC Bank has stated that the card will be unavailable is from 12:30 am to 2:30 am on June 4 (Tuesday) and from 12:30 am to 2:30 am on June 6 (Thursday). The bank says that during the stated time period, the system of its credit card, debit card and prepaid card will be upgraded. Due to this, customers will not be able to transact using the card.

These transactions will be affected

The transactions that will be affected by this upgrade include ATM withdrawals, shopping payments at point of sale machines, online card transactions and Netsafe transactions. To minimize inconvenience to customers, the bank has chosen night time for the upgrade, when customers use cards less frequently.

You will not receive alerts for all transactions

Earlier, HDFC Bank had recently informed that its customers will no longer receive SMS alerts for all UPI transactions. Now HDFC Bank customers will receive SMS alerts only for transactions of more than Rs 100 and transactions of more than Rs 500 being credited. This change will be effective from June 25. All alerts will continue to be received on email as before.
