HDFC Bank Credit Cards Rules: HDFC Bank has announced to levy 1% fee on rent payments made by its credit cardholders through third party platforms like CRED, Paytm, Mobikwik, Freecharge.
If you have a credit card of private sector HDFC Bank, then this news is of your use. Now making rent payment through HDFC Bank credit cards will become expensive. The bank has announced new charges for rent payments made on third party platforms using its credit card.
The bank has announced to levy 1% fee on rent payments made by its credit cardholders through third party platforms like CRED, Paytm, Mobikwik, Freecharge. The capping of this fee will be Rs 3,000 per transaction. These new rules will come into effect from August 1.
Rent payment from third party apps
Usually there are third party apps like Paytm, Freecharge, Mobikwik, Cred, Redgiraffe, MyGate, Magicbricks that allow people to make rent payments through credit cards. These third-party apps also charge convenience fees for rent payments through credit cards.
Changes in Tata Neu Credit Cards
There is going to be a big change in the cashback structure on UPI payments made through Tata New Infinity HDFC Bank Credit Card and Tata New Plus HDFC Bank Credit Card. These changes will come into effect from August 1, 2024. Now linking these cards to Tata New App and making UPI payments will give more benefits and linking them to third party apps and making UPI payments will give less benefits.
