HDFC Bank: There is big news for HDFC Bank customers. HDFC Bank is doing a system upgrade on July 13. In view of this, the bank’s services will be limited for a temporary period. According to the report, HDFC Bank is replacing the core banking system with a new engineered platform to increase robustness and scalability.
According to the report, the bank with 9.3 crore customers across the country is replacing its core banking system with a new engineered platform with the aim of improving the user experience. This will help improve the performance speed of the bank. Also, while handling high traffic volume, the reliability and scalability of the customers will be boosted.
What changes will come?
After this upgrade, HDFC Bank will become one of the largest banks in the country in terms of its size and banking volume which will host its core banking system on a new generation platform. The scheduled time for the upgrade is 3 am on July 13 and it will be upgraded at 4.30 pm on the same day. During this period of 13 and a half hours, customers will not be able to avail some services.
Customers can withdraw cash from any ATM using their HDFC Bank debit card (up to a limited amount) or credit card. At the same time, the bank balance will be shown on the basis of the balance at 7.30 pm on July 12.
Customers can continue to use their HDFC Bank debit card or credit card on swipe machines at shops. Apart from this, HDFC Bank debit card and credit card can be used to shop online without any restriction.
UPI will not work at this time
UPI will not work from 3:00 am to 3:45 pm and 9:30 am to 12:45 pm on July 13, 2024.
Customers can continue to hotlist their cards, reset their PIN and do other card-related activities. Customers can also make payments with merchant cards. But the previous day’s payments will be visible after the system is upgraded.
