HDFC Bank has increased the interest rates offered by the bank to customers on fixed deposits (FD) and on RD. HDFC customers will get more profit from January 12. Let’s know the new rates.


New Delhi: The country’s largest private bank HDFC Bank has increased the interest rates offered by the bank to customers on fixed deposits. These hikes have come into effect from January 12. HDFC Bank has changed the interest rates of its Fixed Deposit (FD) and Recurring Deposit (RD). Along with this, senior citizens will get additional benefits.

HDFC Bank has changed the rates on deposits of less than Rs 2 crore. The new rates have come into effect from January 12. Now interest from 2.50 to 5.60% will be available on FD. At the same time, senior citizens will get 0.50% more.

FD can be done from 7 days to 10 years

HDFC Bank offers Fixed Deposit (FD) facility to its customers for tenures ranging from 7 days to 10 years. In addition, HDFC Bank also gives additional interest on FD (fixed deposits) to senior citizens.

Senior citizens will benefit more

Apart from this, the bank is offering 0.50% more interest to senior citizens. Even if someone does an online FD, he will get more benefits. The bank is offering 0.10 percent more interest. Earlier, customers were getting interest at the rate of 6.05 percent and 6.4 percent on FDs of 36 and 60 months.
